Tournament Information

What: The Men’s $50,000 Challenger Tournament of Lubbock

When: September 20-28, 2008
Day sessions will begin at approximately Noon and evening sessions will begin at 7:00pm. The semi-finals matches will take place on Saturday, Sept. 27 in the afternoon with the finals on Sunday, Sept. 28.

Where: McLeod Tennis Center on the campus of Texas Tech University

Why: Experience the high energy, speed, and athleticism of pro tennis up close for little or no cost. When watching professional tennis on television, you will be able to say, "Hey, I saw him at the Lubbock Challenger."

Tickets: The qualifying matches (Saturday, Sept. 20-Sunday, Sept. 21) are free. Beginning on Monday, Sept. 22, a $5.00 donation is requested for day matches and a $10.00 donation for evening/weekend matches. Weekly passes and reserved seating are also available by contacting the tournament director.

Supplemental Events include: Junior and adult clinics, adult pro-am, tennis art gallery, Cardio Tennis clinic, kid’s zone, senior/junior high school clinics, wheelchair clinic, and USTA Member Appreciation Day
